Kalives

Kalives village is situated 19 kilometers from Chania at the East. There are two main beaches, with the beach on the western side being much quieter as it is located slightly further away from the village. The countryside around Kalives is one of the greenest in Crete. One can see the backdrop of the White Mountains, composing beautiful scenery. There is a long stretch of slightly coarse sand, which is safe for children, and water sport facilities are available. There are tavernas, cafes and restaurants with great views of the sea. Kalives is a real village, not just a tourist location and this is part of the charm of the place.
