Skouloufia

The village Skouloufia, is situated 18km from Rethymnon Crete (20 minutes driving), 75km from Heraklion (port and airport) and 8km from the nearest beach in Stavromenos Rethymnon  (7 minutes driving).

The surrounding area of Skouloufia village has archaeological interest. There are many destinations easily reached like the ancient town of Elefterna (3km away), the famous Monastery of Arcadi (8km away), the cave in village Melidoni, many Byzantine churches that are spread all around the district and the old town of Rethymnon, the pottery village of Margarites are only a part of the many destinations. Of course from this site is easy to plan many excursions even to the other districts of Crete.

In the village of Skouloufia guests can find very good taverns and mini market. Apart from the sandy beach in Stavromenos, there you will also find shops, super markets, bars, restaurants and taverns.
