Kato Daratso

Kato Daratso is just 4 miles from Chania Town. Daratso and its neighbouring Galatas are small villages on the hillside above Kalamaki beach which have expanded down to the coast. Kato (lower) Daratso is the part of the village now bordering the sea. The beach at Kato Daratso is a short walk from the older part of Daratso and is called Kalamaki beach. Agii Apostoli beach is another nearby nice popular sandy beach in a fine bay. Kato Daratso is ideal for holidays in a quieter village setting while also enjoying all the advantages of Chania as a base for exploring the west of Crete.
